Every photo tells a story

LIGHT. LEGACY. FOREVER.

I’ve always wanted to create one of my parachute dress sessions at Druid Hill Park. The park has this perfect mix of architecture, open landscapes, skyline views, and cinematic energy that feels bigger than a normal portrait session. I originally met Janiese during Miami Swim Week. We had plans to shoot in Miami, but the weather completely worked against us and we never got the opportunity to create there. Instead of forcing it, we decided to wait and create something intentional back home in Baltimore.
Honestly, that ended up being the better move.
The second I started planning the concept for Druid Hill Park, I knew Janiese would be perfect for it. She’s naturally photogenic, but more importantly, she moves beautifully. She has the fluidity of a dancer and this authentic athletic build that gives every pose strength without losing elegance.
That combination matters with the parachute dresses because the fabric almost becomes part of the performance. The wind, movement, posture, and environment all have to work together at the same time. Once we got into the park and the dress started catching the wind, everything clicked. The conservatory, the overlooks, the open grass areas, and even the changing sky all added something different to the story.
What I love most about this session is that it never felt overly posed. It felt alive. And a few honestly felt like they belonged in a campaign instead of a photoshoot.
That’s really the goal behind The Parachute Series™.
Not just taking pictures — creating imagery that feels iconic, emotional, and unforgettable.
"Some images felt powerful and cinematic.
Others felt soft and timeless."
